Before Your First Session.
Is Assembly for me?
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. Our program meets you where you are. Every movement can be scaled up or down, so it works whether you're starting out or have years of training behind you, and it grows with you as you get fitter and stronger. Try 7 days for $25
I've never done strength training. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Your coach guides you through every class, and every exercise can be regressed, progressed or adapted to suit you.
How is Assembly different from a regular gym?
You're not paying for access to equipment. You're paying for a plan, coaching and people to train with. Programming runs in three 14-week blocks a year, so each week builds on the last, and a coach runs every class.
Who trains at Assembly?
Everyday athletes. That doesn't mean you need a sporting background. It means you want more from your training than just turning up: a plan, good coaching and people to train with. Some members are getting back into it, some have trained for years. Everyone's here to get better.
Getting started
How do I start?
Start with our 7 Day Trial: $25 for seven days of unlimited training classes. Come as often as you like and get a feel for the coaching, the programming and the room before you commit. Arrive 10 minutes early for your first session. Start your 7 Day Trial
How do I try Assembly HOT?
With the 5 Class Hot Intro Pack: five classes for $60, to use within 30 days. Buy the intro pack
How big are the classes?
Up to 28 people in training classes and 18 in the Hot Room.
Training
What does a typical class look like?
It depends on the day. Monday, Wednesday and Friday are strength: compound lifts with progressive overload. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are conditioning: Zone 2, intervals and VO2 max work. Sunday is Race Simulation, built to mimic race conditions. Every session has a job in the wider program. Classes run 60 minutes. See the timetable and book through Momence
What's the difference between coached classes and Open Gym?
Classes are coach-led, with the whole group following the day's program. Open Gym is time to train on your own: follow your own plan, catch up on a missed session or do extra work. It's $10 a week on top of any membership, $30 a week on its own, or included in All Access. Entry is by QR code on your phone. Open Gym hours
How often should I train?
It depends on your goals. Talk to a coach and we'll work out how many sessions a week make sense for you.
Can I train with an injury?
Often, yes. Tell your coach before class and we'll modify it. For anything recent or ongoing, check with your physio or GP first.
Assembly HOT
What is Assembly HOT?
Strength and movement classes in a studio heated to 28–32°C by infrared panels, which warm the room and the people in it rather than relying only on blown hot air. Same focus on good coaching as Assembly Training. Now open, seven days a week. About the Hot Room
What classes do you run in the Hot Room?
Four formats across seven days. Hot Flow (Mon, Fri) is our signature class: full-body movement, mobility and functional strength. Hot Strength (Tue, Thu) uses heavier weights in rounds and supersets, focused on form and tempo. Hot Conditioning (Wed, Sat) is faster, higher-intensity bodyweight work. Hot Recovery (Sun) is low-impact movement and stretching. See the timetable
I've never done a heated class. Can I start?
Yes. Every class is coached, and you can work at your own pace, take breaks and step out whenever you need. Your first class is about getting used to the heat, not pushing hard. Start with Hot Flow — it's the best introduction to the room.
What should I bring to a Hot Room class?
- Training clothes you can sweat in. The room runs 28 to 32°C
- Water bottle
- Sweat towel
- Grippy socks (optional)
Can I leave the room during class?
Always. If you feel dizzy, light-headed or unwell, step out, sit down and let your instructor know. Listening to your body matters more than finishing the class.
Is heated training safe for me?
For most healthy adults, yes. If you're pregnant, have a heart condition, blood pressure issues or any condition affected by heat, check with your doctor before your first class.
